Hematopoietic Cellular Therapy
Umbilical cord blood was the first cellular therapy designated as a "drug" by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Umbilical cord blood was also the third hematopoietic source of stem cells to be discovered after bone marrow and mobilized peripheral blood.
Without stem cells, there would be no stem cell transplantation. Yet the stem cells derived from these sources are rarely, if ever, measured to ensure their quality, identity, purity and strength prior to patient administration.
To alleviate this obstacle, Preferred Cell Systems™ offers the largest selection of hematopoietic stem cell therapy assays available. They have been designed for different stages of the stem cell transplantation process, from triaging low from high quality stem cell sources to monitoring patients after the transplantation procedure.
All Preferred Cell System™ products are guaranteed. It is our goal to set the bar as high as possible so that patients receive the highest quality, and most potent stem cell therapy product available.

Regenerative medicine refers to a type of cellular therapy involving the regeneration of bone, muscle, tendons and many other tissues that are derived primarily, but not necessarily, from cells of the mesenchymal system.
One of the most difficult aspects of this type of medicine is to quantitatively measure the characteristics and functionality of the cell source used for this type of therapy.
Preferred Cell Systems™ offers assays that can help provide this information, at least for some cell sources, namely mesenchymal stem cells. Regardless of how the cells are manipulated for the therapy, their quality and strength should be determined prior to use. MSCGlo™ QC and MSCGlo™ Potency can accurately provide this information.
The capability of MSCs expansion is limited and it is preferable to use MSCs that are as near to "native" as possible. MSCGlo™ Real Time can help characterize the cells and determine their doubling time.
All Preferred Cell System™ products are guaranteed. It is our goal to set the bar as high as possible so that patients receive the highest quality, and most potent cell-based therapy product available.

Immunotherapy is becoming a very important tool to treat patients with cancer or other diseases. However, understanding the immune system and the cells that interact with it, is a priority for many types of immunotherapy. For example, the interaction of denditic cells or mesenchymal stem cells with immune cells appears to be of utmost importance in reducing graft versus host disease.
The products offered by Preferred Cell Systems™ can help define these interactions and measure the response obtained using either mixtures of cells or purified cell sub-populations.
